An Article in Annapurna Post Daily on the Dramatic End of Republican Parliament

Democracy in the Republic of Lord Shiva

The mountains of the Himalaya is one of the abodes of Lord Shiva. This, however, is not the native or indigenous homeland   of the Lord. When the non natives Aryans    crossed the Hindu- kush mountains , thousands and thousands of years ago, then they   discovered Lord Shiva on the banks of Sindhu and Saraswati. Shiva was worshiped in the Indus valley civilization long before the Aryans   would arrive. It was the   Shiva l ing that people  worshiped in the valley of    Mohan Jodaro and Harrapa of the   oldest   civilization   known to be ever found on this subcontinent . The Aryans made Shiva their own God   on the banks of rivers Sindhu and Saraswati.   When they lived    in the foot hills   of the Himalayas under the shining rays of the Sun and soothing rays of the Moon, they gazed at   the snow peaks of the Himalayas, and    imagined a new symbol Lord Shiva ; Lord Shiva sitting in the caves of the Himalayas and water spring busting   from his   hair t ied over his head.

The President Must Act to Restore Constitutional Order

I am really surprised to know that how the Art 96 and Art   88 of the Interim   constitution are being misinterpreted and how the ruling   of the court and its meaning is being distorted   by   the government, the political parties, the media and the   intellectuals regarding the presentation of the budget.   The participation of constitutional experts   and   media   in the debate   is also disturbing and it suggests that they are knee deep in the game of make believe rather than establishing the truth and taking the side of the truth.       Art 96 (A) (1) n (2)   of the Interim constitution does not vest any authority in the cabinet   to bring a partial budget outside the locus of the   parliament. Like wise, Art 88 on ordinance does not vest any authority in the President to issue even a partial budget   through an ordinance. Art 88 clearly stipulates that except when the legislature –parliament is in session, the President may promulgate an ordinance , on the recommendatio
Indian and Chinese version of Nepali  janabadi revolution and Madhesh Yesterday,  I attended a discussion program organized by Madheshi Intellectuals and Professors Society. Presidents of madhesh centered parties were invited as the chief speakers. The topic of the meeting was Madheshi Mukti. Questions were put forth as to how  one should understand  the term Madheshi  Mukti in the present context. The question was left unanswered as no body had a definite answer. Nepali politics is presently dominated by two schools of  thought regarding state restructuring. The idea of Madhesh province is also there but it is pushed to  the periphery . A large number of people like to believe that the idea of samagra madhesh , ek pradesh, the bed rock of federalist movement in Nepal,  has lost its force. However, that is mere an illusion. The movement of Broader Madheshi Front  around May 27, 2012 has shown that idea is still there with its full force and will remain there as long as the kathmandu
It is  exciting to start a blog as you open a window to your inner world of ideas and thoughts. Ideas occur to you and then seek expression from you .Sometimes you express your thoughts  impulsively  and many times  you need to put in time and effort to shape  and express  them . Many ideas and thoughts just come and go.  Some of them are stored in your memory, which makes reflections possible.  Some ideas are very delicate and have ethereal beauty.  It is the world of ideas and expressions that give meaning to our lives. In this blog , I will try to put out as many ideas and thoughts as possible.
